While you can leave a voice mail message (718-393-7537), especially if your call is particularly timely, we prefer initial contact by e-mail via the form below.
Before you write, please check the FAQ and Schedule pages--they often
answer your questions. Please do not ask us if we have a public tour
scheduled within the next few days--it would be listed on the Schedule
page. (If it's some weeks or months down the line, you can ask.)
PUBLIC TOURS
We
offer public tours only on weekends/holidays, not weekdays. If you want
a tour during the week, it will have to be a private/custom tour.
Please e-mail or call and we will confirm.
For other public
tours, reservations are not required, but if we know
you're coming, that makes it less likely we'll leave without you if you're late. Call
our voice mail (718-393-7537) for the latest schedule updates. In case
of rain, the voice mail will be updated at least 2 hours before the time
of the tour.
PRIVATE TOURS
Look at our
Private Tours page and please be as specific as possible. Please
do not say simply that you want a "tour of Brooklyn"; the borough is 73
square miles and has numerous neighborhoods.
Some info to consider:
--dates AND times requested
--number of people; and whether you want a
private version of a regular tour (see other pages on the web site) or
a custom tour.
--for a custom tour, let us know what you seek in terms of
neighborhood and theme, and approximately how many hours you'd like to spend.
--if it's a driving tour, let us know whether you will supply the
vehicle. (I can't book a vehicle for you but can give suggestions)
--if you want to visit neighborhoods where a family member grew
up, please provide as much information as possible
Whether you contact us by
e-mail or phone, it helps if you provide your full name, your location,
and a phone number with the best times to reach you.
