Brooklyn Heights and the Brooklyn Bridge: History and Scenery in a Classic Walk
[Please go to new web site.]

Most tours of the Brooklyn Bridge start in Manhattan and end in Brooklyn. As a Brooklyn-centric tour guide company, we do the opposite. We start with a good walk through downtown Brooklyn and Brooklyn Heights, the city’s first landmarked neighborhood.

Stops include the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and Brooklyn's most famous church. After a stop at Fulton Ferry (we can visit the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory or Jacques Torres Chocolate), we walk over the bridge, with great views of the harbor and a chance to learn the bridge’s history. We end at City Hall Park, where there are many subway options, or a chance to walk around Lower Manhattan, including to Ground Zero.

We meet near the Christopher Columbus statue on Cadman Plaza--the north side of Borough Hall. Take the 2/3/4/5/R to the Borough Hall stop.
Tours last 2.5 hours. $20/person for scheduled public tours; private tours for small groups are considerably more costly.

This tour focuses significantly on Brooklyn Heights. A recommended alternative for those new to Brooklyn is the Brooklyn 101 tour, with the bridge as an add-on.
